This is the heroic moment a highway patrol helicopter saves a climber clinging to a cliff in California.

Reports said a hiker was found struggling on the edge of a rock face near Baker Beach on November 17.

The San Francisco Fire Department called the California Highway Patrol (CHP) H-30 helicopter for assistance.

The crew quickly responded, deploying a Helicopter Rescue Technician (HRT) to reach the distressed nature explorer.

After being lowered to the cliffside, the HRT technician secured the climber before the aircraft hoisted him to safety on the beach below.

San Francisco Fire personnel evaluated him for injuries and ensured he received the necessary medical attention.

In another incident, a helicopter crew rescued a hiker from Shelter Cove in California on October 23.

The trapped mountaineer was safely loaded into the H-30 helicopter and flown to emergency responders waiting at the command post.
