Los Angeles, United States - November 18, 2024 11/18/2024 11:21 pm (GMT-0800) HISTORIC SOUTH CENTRAL LOS ANGELES – LAPD Newton Division units responded to reports of a shooting with a victim down in the 100 block of West 25th Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a 30-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head, according to the LAPD. LAFD paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. According to Margaret Stewart, a spokesperson for the LAFD, the victim was in fair condition. Officer Lee, an LAPD spokesperson, told KNN that the suspect, described as a White male approximately 30 years old wearing dark clothing, fled the scene in a dark-colored Toyota Camry. It is not known at this time if this was a random shooting or if the suspect and victim know each other. The shooting remains under investigation.
