A pregnant freediver glided beautifully underwater for her maternity shoot.

Sarah Aquino started freediving before conceiving her second child and said she wanted to do the activity to celebrate it in Batangas, the Philippines.

Footage shows the mother Sarah swimming with her large seven-months belly bump doing poses in the crystal clear ocean amid coral reefs.

Sarah, who is in her third trimester, wore a suit with white flowy back, flippers to help her move better, and eye goggles so she could see better.

She said: 'We planned our second baby this year but before that, I have been freediving. I told myself that I would do the maternity shoot while diving.

'I am happy and so lucky that my husband is very supportive of it. We all loved the result of the shoot.'

Freediving involves holding your breath, which reduces oxygen availability in the blood. During pregnancy, the baby relies on the mother for oxygen.

However, with proper guidance from experts and the following safety guidelines, any activity can be considered fine for both the mother and child.
