This is the amusing moment a schoolgirl had a wobbly tooth removed the old-fashioned way - with a piece of string.

The grandfather of Sull, the six-year-old girl, extracted her front baby tooth with a long piece of dental floss in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 5.

Footage captured by Apipol Tangjaitavigitkrai shows the pensioner coiling the thread, which was tied to the tooth, around his finger before pulling it out.

The child was seen in shock when her tooth was tugged out. She then burst into laughter, amazed by how painless the procedure was.

Baby teeth are gradually lost over several years as permanent teeth come in. The front teeth are usually lost between the ages of six and eight, and the back teeth are lost between nine and 13 years old.
