Footage shows farmers gathered in the streets of central London for a protest on November 19.

Thousands of farm owners and workers from across the country rallied amid anger at the government's proposed changes to inheritance tax. Officials said more than 10,000 joined the march - including Jeremy Clarkson and Nigel Farage.

Agricultural property relief (APR) was introduced in 1984 and allowed small family farms to be exempt from inheritance tax.

But, from April 2026, that exemption will no longer stand for inherited agricultural assets worth more than a million pounds - forcing many small landowners to sell their land to large corporations and developers.
