An artistic Buddhist monk made a 3D floor art featuring a realistic koi pond at the temple.

Footage shows Phraphutthachaka Phassaro, 39, using a heat gun tied to a stick to remove the bubbles from the epoxy resin that covered his massive floor art in Ayutthaya, Thailand.

The awesome design at the temple shows black and orange carp fish swimming together in clean water with floating lilies and white pebbles.

Aside from resin floors, the monk also hand-painted 3D murals with thousands of beads that he put together one by one.

Phraphutthachaka said: 'This is my hobby. It makes the building a lot more beautiful. People also like to come to see the decorations and take pictures of them.'

Buddhism is the official religion of Thailand, where it is followed by more than 95 per cent of the population.
