UNFORESEEN Events Have Started To Unfold In The NBA...

The night of unexpected turn of events has transpired. A rookie gains the respect from the superstar leader, and a team finally gets the approval from the entire NBA world, despite losing the game.
This was not just another game in Boston. Boston needed to remind the unbeaten Cavaliers that they are still the reigning champions. And Cleveland showed how much this showdown matters to them, when they rested Donovan Mitchell against Charlotte.
So the fight was on right from the tipoff, with the home team doing most of the punching.
And things only got worse in the second quarter when the Celtics had the three point button stuck on automatic.
14 threes, thatâs what a top 10 team averages for the full 48 minutes. Boston made that in the first half on a face melting 63%.
Despite Donovan Mitchellâs resiliency, 5 of 14 from the field is a bad first half, but unfortunately for them, Darius Garland was even worse going 1 for 11.
A lot of those being open shots in Bostonâs drop coverage defense. So, a 17 point deficit was only fitting at the break, with their 15 game winning streak on the line.
It was obvious that the Celtics wanted to end things early and send a message when they went to another level in the third quarter.
With everything going the Celticsâ way, Cleveland were in danger of getting exposed as a pretender, and their winning streak would be totally discredited.
But nobody realized that this was a blessing in disguise. With their backs against the wall, the Cavaliers responded in the best possible way, proving to everyone why theyâre still unbeaten.
In the blink of an eye the Cavs went on a 13-1 blitz on the road, showcasing the number 1 offense in the league, right here on the biggest stage so far this season.
So despite a gigantic discrepancy from downtown by this moment, generating 36 more points for the Celtics, in a staggering turn of events- this became a 2 point game at the end of the third quarter. If the Cavs could only get a stop at the endâ¦
But even with that slight cooldown, Cleveland saw that they made a dent into Bostonâs armor, so they kept attacking.
This would have been the perfect moment for Garland to get going, but it was one of those nights for him finishing the game 3 for 21 from the field.
And youâre not dethroning the champs at home with one of your leaders having that kind of a game.
But we had to wait until the final buzzer to confirm this.
Itâs weird for me to even say it, but this game showed me more about Cleveland than it did for the Celtics. We knew who they were, but the Cavs proved that theyâre for real, even in a loss. I rated this shootout an 8.5 on RateGame, and you can download the app from the link in the description to join me in rating and discussing the games every night.
I also posted on there anticipating another Lebron triple double, but in a completely unforeseen scenario, the spotlight was on a different player.
There was a buzz in the arena watching the Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht getting into a groove with 12 points at the half, but there wasnât a single fan who could have predicted what was about to unfoldâ¦
In a 3 minute stretch that was out of this world, and probably straight out of Daltonâs dreams he goes God Mode with 5 threes, to blow the roof off the arena.
Even Lebron was shocked by this laser shooting.
A blistering 21 point quarter for a total of 37 points on 9 of 12 from downtown for the rookie, to completely skyrocket the Lakers hopes and expectations for the season.
And Russell Westbrook did a similar thing against the Grizzlies, boosting the morale of Nuggets fans.
Russell thread the needle finding his teammates all game long against Memphis.
A vintage Westbrook performance with a triple double, albeit against a weakened Memphis roster.
Denver sure is happy to get an unexpected game like this from him, and to see Jamal Murray as well as Porter Jr firing away and having a great game in a win without Nikola Jokic.
Speaking of unexpected, Luka Doncic turning into a lockdown defender was not on my list last night.
I wasnât sure if this was Luka or prime Kawhi Leonard, getting steals and blocks in the first half against the Pelicans.
And offensively, the Mavs were just toying with New Orleans.
Then, it was all over when they started throwing heat checksâ¦
This was the complete opposite ending of the thriller finish in Brooklyn where it was a battle for every single point in the final minutes.
The Hornets needed a score quickly and they turned to Brandon Millerâ¦
But to give themselves a chance to tie the game, a stop was crucialâ¦
So then, it all came down to thisâ¦
The Nets survive in a gutsy battle with yet another wild finish this season. This is almost exactly the same crazy night as my last video where we witnessed the moment that could possibly change the season for this team. You gotta check out what took place right here. Talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
