STORYLINE:

STANDUP (English): ZHENG KEYI, Xinhua correspondent
"Welcome to Wuzhen, a water town in eastern China with more than a thousand years of history.
For the past ten years, it has been the home of the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, bringing together minds and technologies from all over the world."

The summit is themed "Embracing a People-centered and AI-for-good Digital Future -- Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace."

It includes 24 sub-forums on topics such as Global Development Initiative, digital economy, and artificial intelligence (AI) technology governance, along with a series of activities.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): HE ZHENGYU, Ant Group's chief technology officer
"By participating in this conference, we certainly hope to engage with AI or artificial intelligence-related companies from around the world. The goal is to address some critical issues that arise as opportunities for the new generation of AI emerge, and to collaborate in finding solutions through joint discussions."

AI technology has been a highlight at the Light of Internet Expo during the summit.

The expo also features an AI experience zone to create a tangible "intelligent world" scenario.

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): ZHANG HUA, Marketing director of ULS Robotics
"People have to bend over for some jobs. But my whole waist is in a relaxed state if I do so. It gives me a good balance.
In fact, we have been trying to reduce the cost of exoskeletons in recent years. The exoskeleton I am wearing now, which is a basic type, costs around 10,000 yuan (about 1,377 USD). In the future, for those products designed for elderly or civil use, we will keep their prices at the level of a mobile phone, that is, several thousand yuan. We hope everyone has an exoskeleton of their own."
