This is the dramatic moment a thief steals a delivery truck as a worker jumps to safety.

Footage shows the vehicle in a warehouse parking lot, with a man in a black jacket approaching. A female worker enters the back of the truck, loading items with a trolley cart in Milwaukie, Oregon, on November 15, around 4:30 am.

Suddenly, the truck cab drove away while the employee was still in the cargo area. The worker was forced to jump from the moving truck.

Police said she sustained minor injuries.

Using an AirTag, officers tracked the stolen vehicle to a parking lot in Beaverton hours later, where they found the 29-year-old suspected thief, Forrest Lee Guayante, still inside.

Guayante's attempt to flee escalated when he rammed a police car, but officers were able to subdue and arrest him.

He now faces charges of unauthorised use of a motor vehicle, reckless endangering, felony eluding, and hit-and-run.
