Wild bear enters roadside stall for midnight snack in Tibet
This is the nerve-wracking moment a wild bear entered a roadside stall for a midnight snack in Tibet.
Store clerk Mr Zhang was sleeping at the counter when he was woken by a noise and discovered the hungry brown bear rummaging through the racks on August 5.
CCTV footage shows the man lying on the bed. Upon hearing rustling sounds, he looked out from his duvet and saw the furry beast inside the store.
The worker leapt up and called the police to help drive the bear away from the residential area.
Local reports said that Mr Zhang did not sustain any injuries, and the encounter did not result in significant damage to the store.
Wildlife officials have since increased patrols and warned residents to avoid getting too close to wild animals emerging from the woodland.
Tibetan bears are generally very shy but will attack if they feel threatened.
