A bison calf stayed close to its mother at a park in Washington.

Footage shows the baby bovine tailing its mum as they foraged the woods at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park in Pierce County on November 21.

The reddish-orange calf is only a few weeks old and never left its parent's side while they searched for food.

While young, the calf will nurse and learn until it gradually gains independence as it matures.'

A bison is a large, herbivorous mammal that originates in North America and parts of Europe. They are known for their their massive size, thick fur, and prominent hump, and with the open plains and grasslands.
