Los Angeles, United States - November 23, 2024 11/23/2024 04:09 pm (GMT-0800) VICTORVILLE, Calif. – A fatal head-on collision occurred on I-15 North, just south of Nisqualli Road Saturday afternoon at approximately 4:09 p.m. Witnesses said a blue sports car traveling south on Mariposa Road, which parallels I-15, collided with the curb, a fence and the concrete barrier between Mariposa Road and I-15 at a high rate of speed. At that point, the vehicle reportedly spun into the air and landed on I-15 northbound lanes, colliding head-on with a gray SUV at a high rate of speed. The occupant of the blue sports car was pronounced deceased at the scene, and two people were extricated from the SUV with injuries related to the collision. They were transported in unknown conditions. A hard closure was put into place, diverting traffic off Interstate 15 North at the US 395 and Bear Valley Road exits. A Sig Alert was also issued advising all northbound traffic to be diverted at the US 395 off-ramp.
