Los Angeles, United States - November 23, 2024 11/23/2024 12:00 am (GMT-0800) HESPERIA, Calif. – Saturday afternoon, at approximately 1:01 p.m., a water rescue was dispatched to Rescue personnel with the San Bernardino County Fire Department in the “Governor Edmund G Brown East Branch Aqueduct” after a bystander claimed a lady had been spotted entering the aqueduct just south of Main Street in the city of Hesperia. Rescue crews quickly arrived on the scene and were initially unable to locate any victims or bodies regarding the report. Approximately 30 minutes into the search, a deputy with the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station reported that they had located a deceased female north of the Las Flores Ranch area. Firefighters arrived on the scene and began recovery efforts as the victim was stuck on a debris cage near the end of the aqueduct. The body was recovered, and the identity has not been released.
