Azerbaijan: China's EV manufacturer prioritizes sustainability amid climate challenges

Azerbaijan - Recent Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD is intensively researching advanced technologies to develop more sustainable batteries and EVs, so as to help addressing climate change and future challenges, said Cao Shuang, Managing Director of BYD Central Asia and Caucasus. In an interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN), Cao emphasized that BYD is actively working on upgrading its batteries to enhance performance and sustainability, noting that the company plans to launch a new generation of its blade battery in 2025. Addressing challenges such as tariffs, Cao reaffirmed BYD's commitment to serving clients worldwide and fostering mutual understanding. We are also working closely with different partners in the industries to develop our reusing system of the battery, I mean, after the first life of the battery in vehicles, into different kind of applications, for instance, like energy storage as well. So very soon, I think in the coming years, 2025, BYD will introduce the new generation of our remarkable blade battery.
