Milwaukie, United States - November 17, 2024 A brazen truck theft early Friday morning ended in a tense confrontation and multiple charges for 29-year-old Forrest Lee Guayante, police said. Guayante allegedly stole a delivery truck from a Milwaukie warehouse at 4 a.m., unaware that an employee was trapped in the cargo area. Forced to jump from the moving truck, the employee suffered minor injuries, according to Beaverton police. Using an AirTag, officers tracked the stolen vehicle to a parking lot in Beaverton hours later. Guayante’s attempt to flee escalated further when he rammed a police car, but officers managed to subdue and arrest him. Guayante now faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless endangering, felony eluding, and hit-and-run.
