A motorbike burst into flames while being repaired at a shop in Thailand.

The scooter was laid on its side on the floor by the three workers while one of them was using a disc grinder on its transmission in Samut Prakan, Thailand, on November 17.

However, the sparks from the power tool appeared to have ignited the leaking oil from its engine and started a fire.

Footage shows flames quickly engulfing the entire vehicle before the workers fled in panic.

One of them took a water hose, and another stepped out from the shop and used a cloth to put out the fire.

The blaze spread to the wooden floors but it was put out within minutes.

Shop owner Anek Kaewtrailerd said: 'The tank cover was not shut properly and gas leaked. We did not know that there was oil all over and caused a fire.'

No one was hurt but the two-wheeler was further damaged due to the flames.
