This is the heartwarming moment a policeman proposed to his girlfriend on his training graduation day.

Jerwin Lalo, 28, surprised his long-term partner Micaella Bernardo, 23, with a marriage proposal in Manila, the Philippines, on November 19.

Footage shows Micaella walking towards her boyfriend, who then kneeled down on one knee and showed her the ring.

The stunned woman briefly paused in shock before saying yes, prompting Jerwin's colleagues to cheer for them.

Micaella said: 'I was literally not expecting the proposal that day. I didn't even wear makeup or fix my hair. I told him I wouldn't be having my nails done because I always get disappointed.

'I was expecting to watch other people's live marriage proposals, but I never anticipated that this would happen.'
