A naughty pet cat pushed a treadmill onto his owner as he was lying on the ground.

The four-year-old Scottish Fold named Taotao was perched on the television console table when it leapt onto the folding exercise machine that fell in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand on November 15.

Amusing CCTV footage shows Taotao clinging onto the equipment as it tilted and collapsed onto Aphirak Monthathip who was then on the floor.

Aphirak was scrolling on his phone and did not notice the machine swaying towards him.

Its tip hit him on the back, just under his head and he laid motionless for a few seconds before rolling in pain.

Aphirak said: 'I hurt my arm and shoulder but I did not punish Taotao.'

The feline seemed to have realised what it did and hid under the treadmill.

Taotao was then picked up by Aphirak to scold it gently before giving it kisses.
