The officer, Raúl, a handler from the Civil Guard’s Canine Service, and Beltza worked with the Smiles Association, a group dedicated to supporting sick and vulnerable children across Spain. The organization collaborates with various security forces, emergency personnel, and armed forces to bring moments of happiness to children in hospitals, foster homes, and other settings. “Thank you, and we wish the little one a speedy recovery,” the Civil Guard shared in their message accompanying the video. The Smiles Association operates under the motto “A child’s smile has no borders” and divides its efforts into Blue Smiles (police, firefighters, navy), Green Smiles (civil guard, army, environmental agents), and Orange Smiles (emergency services, security guards).
