US, Los Angeles: San Bernardino Semi Truck Crashes Down Mountainside on Interstate 15 Causing Major Delays
Los Angeles, United States - November 25, 2024 11/25/2024 12:17 pm (GMT-0800) SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – At approximately 12:17 p.m. Monday, a traffic collision was reported on I-15 South, north of Oakie Flats. The report stated a single semi-truck had struck the right-hand side guardrail and went over the side of the hill. Shortly after the initial reports, medical personnel with the SB County Fire Department arrived at the scene and located the truck approximately 250 feet off the roadway down the side of the mountain. The driver of the vehicle was miraculously left unharmed and was seen walking around after the collision. A Sig Alert was issued following the incident closing the number 3 and 4 lanes for recovery efforts. Traffic was significantly impacted, and delays are expected for hours. No other occupants were located and the driver of the vehicle cooperated with CHP officers for the investigation.
