STORYLINE:
Christmas lights were officially switched on along the Champs-Elysees in Paris, France on Sunday. Tony Estanguet, President of Paris 2024 organizing committee, led the ceremony and turned the world-famous avenue into a glittering spectacle.
During the event, the Champs-Elysees was closed to traffic, allowing thousands of visitors to enjoy the lights and performances.
This year's eco-friendly decorations, installed by Blachere Illuminations, featured over 400 trees adorned with reusable light installations, including a 13.5-meter-tall Christmas tree. The lights will shine until early January, adding a magical touch to the Parisian holiday season.
