STORYLINE:

The Trade Exhibition of the People's Republic of China in Fiji 2024 concluded on Sunday in the capital city of Suva, providing a platform for cooperation and communication between Chinese and Fijian businesses.
   
The exhibition took place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, covering an area of approximately 1,600 square meters.
   
Over 30 Chinese companies showcased their latest products, technologies, and services in various fields, including infrastructure construction, automotive, renewable energy, general machinery, electronic communications, electrical equipment, and aquaculture.

"We have got a lot of fruitful results from this exhibition in Fiji. We have discovered new customer opportunities during the event. And we expect more cooperation deals in the coming days."

"In the past few days, we have seen a constant flow of customers. We're almost out of stock. I hope this exhibition can be held annually."

At the exhibition, the mushroom cultivation booth from the China-Fiji Juncao Technology Demonstration Center attracted many local visitors.

A 75-year-old Fijian man named Alusio Tawakevoudua was particularly enthusiastic about promoting Chinese mushroom cultivation technology to his fellow citizens.

"We are happy to plant mushrooms because it's a good source of money for us. I support the "magical grass" because it can help Fijian people on the financial side. They (the Chinese Juncao team) help me so much in my life and in my family life."

The exhibition also attracted numerous businesses from Fiji and neighboring countries.

"It is a good opportunity for the Fijian businessmen to be in contact with the Chinese companies directly rather than get the local agents. It is good for me to have this kind of company's connections. It will be more helpful for me to forward for my work in the future. Their products are very effective and their solutions are better."

The exhibition was jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Fijian Ministry of Trade, Co-operatives, Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, and Communications.
