An exhibition of paintings of China's Song Dynasty (960-1279) opened on Monday in Hangzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province as a sideline event of the second Liangzhu Forum.

The Exhibition on Song Dynasty Paintings is part of a series of exhibitions showcasing the achievements of a project named the Comprehensive Collection of Ancient Chinese Paintings.
The project, carried out by Zhejiang University and the Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, is by far the world's most comprehensive collection of ancient Chinese paintings.
