"Today is Tuesday, Nov. 26. I'm now near the hotel that accommodates some of the survivors rescued from the boat that sank on Monday in Egypt's Red Sea."

The Governor of Egypt's Red Sea Province said Tuesday that 31 people have been rescued after the safari boat sank off near Marsa Alam, a coastal town in southeastern Egypt.

The boat carried 44 passengers, including 13 Egyptians and 31 others from 11 countries.

SOUNDBITE (Chinese): Rescued Chinese tourist
"Our current condition is fine, with no significant physical injuries. The strong winds and waves caused the ship to sway, but we were fortunate that the door to our cabin was on the upper side. This gave us more time to escape. Through our own efforts and with the help of the crew, we were eventually rescued."
