A huge python slithered across a motorcycle that was parked outside a home.

The 8ft snake emerged from the bushes and slowly slinked into the two-wheeler's seat in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand, on August 19.

Footage shows the serpent moving over to the Honda vehicle's handlebars and extending its body upwards to reach a tree.

It moved onto a branch and disappeared behind the hardwood's thick leaves where it was believed to have been nesting.

Resident Rung Suthee said: 'I was drinking beer with my friends at home, then the snake came.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
