This is the heartwarming moment a kind driver stopped to help a frail pensioner cross the road.

The kindhearted motorist assisted the elderly woman across the busy motorway in Cebu, the Philippines, on October 14.

Touching footage captured by Raul Jabiniar shows the man signalling passing drivers to wait as he walks alongside the senior local.

The man can be seen looking back at his vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the road.

Raul said: 'Watching this simple yet powerful act of kindness reminded us that, in a fast-paced world, there are still people who take the time to help others.

'It's moments like these that restore our faith in humanity, showing us that compassion and community spirit are still very much alive. Wishing there were more people like him.'
