This is the hilarious moment a mini moto rider lines up at traffic lights in Thailand.

Footage shows the cool motorist wearing a helmet, riding his small vehicle alongside other drivers on the road in Petchabun on November 25.

As the traffic light turns green, the mini moto rider zooms ahead of the other motorcycles, just as a traffic police officer blows his whistle, signaling the go-ahead.

Onlookers were both shocked and concerned, worried that the small bike could be prone to accidents.

Despite being one of the wealthiest countries in Asia, Thailand suffers from chronic underinvestment in its highways and education, contributing to its poor road safety levels. Only a handful of African countries are worse.

Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
