Firefighter's lifesaving mask share rescues a cat in high-rise fire

On November 9, 2024, in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, the incident occurred when a fire broke out in a high-rise building. Amid the chaos, a resident had fled with her cat, which began to suffer from severe respiratory distress due to smoke inhalation.
Observing the dire situation, a quick-thinking firefighter removed his oxygen mask and placed it over the kitten, providing the vital air it needed.
After the rescue, the cat was taken to a local pet clinic for further treatment and was reported to be in stable condition following the ordeal.
