China: Smart farming technologies on display at 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo
China - November 28, 2024 Smart farming technologies on display at 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (Voice_over) Robots equipped with cameras serve as digital eyes, while drones that carry pesticides act as your remote hands. Meanwhile, AI big models function as the brain, operating around the clock. (Stand_up) Hou Jing, Reporter: "With these technologies, becoming a modern farmer in China has never been easier. They can simply raise chickens and pigs by remotely directing an agricultural expert even while lying down." (Voice_over) This is the agricultural expert called Dr. Pig. (Sound_bite) Gavin Yang, President of Marketing Center and E-commerce Department, CP China: "'Dr. Pig is a central control unit located in a farmer's home. It connects to the Internet of Things to monitor temperature, humidity, and air quality in the pigsty, prompting the farmer to open windows or automatically activating the ventilation system as needed." (Voice_over) Digital technologies have been integrated throughout the entire industrial and supply chain in China, encompassing everything from raising chickens, pigs, and shrimp to packaging, delivery, and online sales. Then we can utilize that information that technology, that data to be able to better monitor."
