Los Angeles, United States - November 27, 2024 11/27/2024 10:15 pm (GMT-0800) ALHAMBRA, Calif. – Alhambra PD and Alhambra Fire Department received multiple 911 calls of a house on fire on the 600 block of South Marguerita Avenue in the city of Alhambra. Alhambra PD was the first to find heavy fire and smoke from the house. Officers and firefighters immediately started evacuating residents and neighbors. According to initial information gathered at the scene, firefighters were having difficulty dousing the flames due to pack-rat conditions inside and outside the house. Due to the conditions, the Alhambra Fire Department upgraded the incident to a second-alarm fire. Multiple agencies, including Monterey Park Fire, responded to assist Alhambra firefighters. According to a Sergeant at the scene, everyone safely made it out of the house. At this time, how the fire started is unknown.
