The incident began near Western Avenue and 37th Street, where a Toyota minivan struck officers. The driver fled the scene, prompting officers to follow the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted near Normandie Avenue and Adams Boulevard, where the suspect was apprehended. The Toyota minivan sustained significant front-end damage, while the LAPD’s Ford Explorer was left with minor rear-end damage. No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect was driving under the influence. The investigation remains ongoing.
