Los Angeles, United States - November 28, 2024 11/28/2024 02:00 am (GMT-0800) ADAMS-NORMANDIE, LOS ANGELES – A hit-and-run driver was taken into custody Sunday night after colliding with a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) vehicle in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood. The incident began near Western Avenue and 37th Street, where a Toyota minivan struck officers. The driver fled the scene, prompting officers to follow the vehicle. A traffic stop was conducted near Normandie Avenue and Adams Boulevard, where the suspect was apprehended. The Toyota minivan sustained significant front-end damage, while the LAPD’s Ford Explorer was left with minor rear-end damage. No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities have not confirmed whether the suspect was driving under the influence. The investigation remains ongoing.
