Kevin the Carrot fan decorates Christmas tree with 70 of the Aldi stuffed toys
A mum obsessed with Kevin the Carrot have decorated their seven foot high Christmas tree with 70 of the stuffed toys.
Superfan Chevie Wells, 35, first started collecting the teddies, which are sold at Aldi, when they were first released in 2016.
The mum-of-three now has 74 of the festive favourites - including several 'Kevin's' and his girlfriend 'Katie' - and she has decorated her Christmas tree with them.
Chevie said: "The tree started off small and then it's just escalated to a 7ft tree. "
"It's got even more stuff on it this year - there has to be at least 60 on there because I bought the full collection again this year."
"My family enjoy it but I do all of the decorating. "
"My six-year-old absolutely loves it though, he thinks it's brilliant."
Chevie's mum first started buying the stuffed carrots for Chevie's three children Kajetan, 15, Malakaj, 12, and Zikajzer, six.
Even though she has been gifted some of the teddies by family, Chevie still thinks she has spent over £200 on them over the years.
She said: "It started off because my mum worked at Aldi and she would get first dibs on the teddies. "
"My children would say "nana has got the carrots" and then we've got more over the years. "
"I first put them on the Christmas tree in 2020 because I had so many of the little teddies."
Chevie, who is engaged to partner Andrew Warden, 41, has six Christmas trees in her house this year - including a Grinch themed tree and a Disney inspired one.
She has a range of decorations including Disney baubles, cushions, snow globes and Santa sacks - and estimates she's spent over £1,000 on the festive merchandise.
Chevie, of Derby, said: "I've got a Kevin tree and a Grinch tree."
"I've also got a big Disney-inspired tree and a little Disney-inspired tree. "
"Then I've got a tree with ornaments that my children have made over the years and I've got a small one with Pandora ornaments on there - so I have six trees this year."
"It's built up over the years, I've had my Disney tree for around 11 years and it's full of glass, personalised ornaments from the Disney shop."
Instead of taking part in Christmas traditions such as 'elf on the shelf', Chevie has a fake dormouse that instead tells her children jokes.
Chevie, who works at DIY store Wickes, said: "I love the family time and I like making memories with my children."
"Everybody does elf on the shelf - but I have a dormouse that I made out of an old sock."
"The dormouse comes on December 1 and she plays homemade games with my children and tells them jokes and tells them about the spirit of Christmas. "
"We also do a donation day where we go and donate a toy, we do all different things."
