The Christmas Train of Lights is back for the 2024 festive season
The Christmas Train of Lights is back for the 2024 festive season and it took its inaugural journey on Monday (25/11).
The train journey begins at Queen's Park Station in Paignton, where it sets off on a 25-minute trip to Kingswear station where passengers can get off to tour Dartmouth.
Fifteen minutes later, passengers are reboarded for the journey back to Paignton, ending where it all began.
Scott Williams, 50, who films the festive train every year, says scoping out the best places to view the train on its journey is the real trick.
Scott, a videographer based in Paignton, said: "It's truly a magical sight to see."
"It almost gives the same energy as the Coca-Cola Christmas truck, like the festive season has really begun."
"I plan to go out and watch the train on its journey four or five times before the season's over."
"One of my favourite places to see it is when it crosses over the river Dart because you get this beautiful glistening reflection of it in the river."
This year the train will run twice daily from November 25 to December 30.
