Tandem Skydiving malfunction and reserve entanglement
Uneventful freefall portion of the skydiving, upon deploying the main parachute at 6,000ft, it developed a large tension knot; You'll see the tandem pair spinning. approx between 5000-4500ft, emergency producers were initiated. Due to the spin rate, the reserve system deployed in a unique way causing the pair to unknowingly fall into the pack job. the reserve wasn't cleared till about 1000ft off the ground, which at tandem terminal is about 3-4 sec from impacting the ground at about 150mph. extremely lucky to have survived.
