A World War II bomb was discovered during road widening work near Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in the Philippines.

Footage shows the 54-inch-long, 63-inch-wide vintage bomb, believed to be American-made.

Reports say construction workers unearthed the device along Manila International Airport Road in Pasay City on Thursday, November 28.

The road expansion project was temporarily halted following the discovery.

Authorities from the Philippine National Police's Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Unit have warned that the bomb could still be active.

Experts are currently working to transport the bomb for further analysis and proper disposal.
