Lone Tree, United States - November 23, 2024 A Lone Tree police officer made an unusual but determined pursuit of a suspect suspected of felony theft, using a child’s bike to give chase after the suspect fled on a scooter. Body camera footage released by the City of Lone Tree shows Officer Jacob Tarr jumping two fences before grabbing a green bike to continue the pursuit. Despite the suspect’s attempts to escape on a scooter, Tarr’s quick thinking paid off as he closed in on the suspect. The chase ended with the suspect being apprehended by another officer with a squad car. The suspect, who had three outstanding warrants, including one for armed robbery, was booked on felony theft charges.
