CCTV footage from Bukittinggi has captured a woman stealing a pair of shoes from a student dormitory. The incident occurred on Friday, November 29, 2024, at around 4:22 PM.

A middle-aged woman, estimated to be in her 50s, was seen in the CCTV footage casually strolling past the dormitory. She was then captured taking a pair of shoes that had been left outside a room.

Ruri, the landlord of the dormitory, expressed surprise when he discovered the theft after reviewing the CCTV footage. "I only realized the student's shoes were missing when I checked the footage," he said.

Local residents have taken the initiative to help identify the perpetrator. They have shared the woman's photo on social media, hoping someone can recognize her and provide information. Although there has been no official confirmation, residents suspect that the woman may have committed the theft due to financial difficulties, considering her habit of asking for food in the area.

The victim has yet to report the incident to the police. However, residents are hopeful that with the help of social media, the perpetrator's identity can be revealed soon.
