US, Los Angeles: Santa Ana Police Shoot and Kill Suspect with Fake Gun B Roll
Los Angeles, United States - December 01, 2024 12/01/2024 05:30 pm (GMT-0800) SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana police officers responded to the area of North Broadway and East First Street for a suspect armed with a rifle in the downtown Santa Ana area. According to the Santa Ana PD, the man was reported loading the rifle. When officers arrived at the scene, an officer-involved shooting occurred. It is unknown what led to the shooting at this time. The suspect, a Hispanic male in his 30s, was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased, according to the Santa Ana PD. The street was full of shell casings from shots fired. Initial information gathered at the scene was that the suspect's gun was a fake. Santa Ana PD had both north and southbound lanes of Broadway closed as they investigated the fatal officer-involved shooting. The Santa Ana PD reported no injuries to officers or bystanders during the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and more details will follow.
