Hero dog's relentless barking gains neighbours' attention after 84-year-old owner falls and hits head
On November 27 in Liuzhou, Guangxi, an 84-year-old woman living alone fell while cooking in her kitchen, hitting her forehead on the corner of the dining table. The injury left a gash, causing heavy bleeding and rendering her unable to move.
The woman’s dog noticed her fall and began barking desperately at the door, trying to attract attention.
Hearing the dog’s frantic barking, a neighbour came to check and discovered the elderly woman lying on the floor. They quickly called for an ambulance and emergency services.
The neighbours helped get the woman to the hospital for treatment. Thanks to the timely rescue, she has passed the critical stage and has since been moved to a general ward.
The woman’s son later expressed his gratitude: “If the dog hadn’t alerted the neighbors, my mom could have been on the floor for who knows how long. Both the dog and the neighbours are lifesavers for our family!”
