Santiago, Chile - June 18, 2024 Airport of Santiago 'Nuevo Puedahuel'. Until 2024, only one Latin American country had access to the exclusive program that allows travel to the United States without a visa: Chile. However, from 2025, a new Latin American country will join this list. This advance will allow citizens of that country to travel to the United States without the need to apply for a visa. This measure will be part of the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), which facilitates tourism and business between countries. From 2025, Uruguay will join Chile as one of the few Latin American countries whose citizens will be able to enter the United States without the need for a visa for trips of up to 90 days. This agreement is part of the Visa Waiver Program that allows citizens of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business purposes without going through the traditional visa process.
