This is the dramatic moment two buses crashed head-on and injured dozens of passengers in India.

Footage shows the two state-run coaches colliding along a narrow road near Peravur town in Kerala state at around 3 pm local time on December 2. The impact severely damaged the front of one of the buses.

Local media reported at least 34 people were injured, including one with serious wounds. They were rushed to nearby hospitals.

Authorities believe the narrow road and reduced visibility due to the rain may have contributed to the crash.

India has a high rate of traffic accidents due to poor road infrastructure, lack of traffic rule enforcement, and high vehicle density. Risky driving behaviors such as speeding, overloading, and inadequate training also often go unpunished.
