US, Los Angeles: Westchester Qantas Airlines Makes Emergency Landing At LAX
Los Angeles, United States - December 04, 2024 12/04/2024 02:20 am (GMT-0800) WESTCHESTER, LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles City and County Fire departments were advised of an aircraft coming in for an emergency landing at LAX. Crews were told the aircraft would be landing on runway 24. The Qantas flight (QFA216) was headed to Brisbane, Australia (BNE). The flight departed LAX at 8:39 p.m. and, according to Google, was set to arrive in AUS at 5:00 a.m. It is unclear why the flight declared an emergency. However, sources indicate the plane returned due to mechanical issues. The plane landed safely and was met by LAFD personnel on the ground. Updated information will be added.
