This is the dramatic moment a 94-year-old woman was rescued falling into a deep well.

The woman, identified only as Kamala, slipped and fell into the well near her home in Marakatte village, Koppa taluk, on Tuesday (03/12).

Video shows two officers descending down the well to secure Kamala into ropes and several officers pulling her up to safety.

During her fall, Kamala managed to grab a part of the pump used to bring water to the surface and clung to the inside wall of the well to keep herself above water level.

Kamala's family alerted the fire department and they were able to securely carry her out of the well in just over an hour.

Kamala only suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
