Two heroic passersby rescues woman drifting in sea
This is the dramatic moment two heroic passersby rescued a woman drifting in the sea.
Dong Wenqiang and Qu Zuotao, a security guard in Xinghai Square, sprang into action to save a local who fell into the icy water on the east side of Xinghai Bay in Dalian, China, on November 26.
Dong, a vlogger, was filming snow scenes when he and his crew heard a woman screaming, prompting them to locate the source of the cries.
Upon spotting the local floating in the water, Dong immediately removed his shirt and rushed to rescue her, while bystanders called for help at a nearby mall where security guards quickly responded.
Footage captured by Xiaguan Lao Sou shows the duo swimming toward the woman and guiding her safely back to the shore.
Other rescuers then wrapped the woman in a blanket and helped her climb the rocky slope.
Local reports said that the victim had slipped on the rocks and plunged into the bay but did not sustain serious injuries.
China's winters, lasting from late November to March, are known for their harsh cold, strong winds, dry air, and occasional frost and snow.
