Travelers stopped at the Rome Termini station waiting to be able to catch a train while the boards signal severe delays in train departures and arrivals due to a technical fault at the Termini and Tiburtina railway stations in Rome. It was a black Wednesday for train traffic in Rome. Due to a disconnection of the systems at the Roma Termini and Roma Tiburtina stations, train traffic was paralyzed starting at 6:30 in the morning. Billboards turned off, announcements made only over the loudspeaker and it is still unclear what happened, but the consequences were severe for travellers even after the intervention of technicians who partially restored traffic which was significantly slowed down even in the evening.
