Unable to proceed or return, the pair found themselves in a precarious position and required immediate assistance. The Consorci mobilized a team, including the Sagunt sergeant, the High-Altitude Rescue Group (GERA), and the V-990 helicopter, which was equipped with a doctor. In a precise operation, emergency responders airlifted the man and his loyal dog to safety. Both were unharmed and did not require further medical treatment. In a separate incident on Monday, Xàtiva firefighters conducted a delicate rescue in La Pobla Llarga. A hunting dog had been trapped for two days in a rabbit hole beneath a tree. After assessing the situation, rescuers carefully expanded the hole without harming the animal. The dog was freed after nearly three hours and promptly taken to a veterinary clinic for recovery.
