Calm Aussie removes deadly tiger snake from a car
This is the moment a calm Aussie reptile handler removes a deadly tiger snake from a car.
The female driver discovered the serpent slithering up her leg while driving in Melbourne on November 30.
Victoria Police responded after the barefoot motorist, in shock, waved down passing vehicles on the roadside.
The woman revealed she had felt something brush her foot while driving, only to discover the deadly reptile climbing her leg.
Incredibly, she managed to fend off the snake, maintain control of her vehicle, and pull over safely.
Paramedics examined her for bites, while Melbourne Snake Control was called to remove the serpent, which was later identified as a tiger snake—one of the world's 10 deadliest species.
Footage from the incident shows the woman's car parked on the shoulder as a snake handler removed the 5ft predator, holding it by its tail.
The woman escaped unharmed, but the incident serves as a chilling reminder of the lurking dangers on Australian roads.
Tiger snakes are highly venomous reptiles native to Australia, known for their potent venom that can cause serious injury or death if untreated. Authorities said they are not aggressive, although they will bite if interfered with.
