Pensioner test drives new stair lift causing her to request speed upgrade
This is the amusing moment a frustrated pensioner test drove her new slow stairlift, leading her to request a speed upgrade.
The elderly woman, struggling to climb the stairs, had ordered the powered chairlift for her to easily reach the second floor of her house in Harbin, China, on September 14.
Footage shows the homeowner sitting in the moving chair. However, the machine was so slow that it prompted the woman to ask if the chair could go a bit faster.
Upon hearing this, the technician declined her request, worried that she might fall due to her old age.
The pensioner couldn't help but accept what the worker said while the stairlift slowly ascended.
Elderly people's muscle fibers shrink and decrease in number, and muscle tissue is replaced more slowly. This can lead to reduced muscle tone and a decreased ability to contract.
