This is the heroic moment a helicopter team saves a walker and his dog in Spain.

Authorities said the pair were trapped on the Ruta de les Cadenes trail near the El Garbi viewpoint on Sunday, November 3. The hiker requested immediate assistance after becoming unable to move forward or back.

The Consorci deployed a team, including the Sagunt sergeant, the High-Altitude Rescue Group (GERA), and the V-990 helicopter with a doctor onboard.

Footage shows the emergency responders airlifting the mountaineer and his loyal pooch to safety. Both were reportedly unharmed and did not require further medical treatment.

In a separate incident on Monday, Xativa firefighters rescued a hunting dog trapped in a rabbit hole beneath a tree in La Pobla Llarga for two days.

Rescuers carefully expanded the hole without injuring the animal.

After nearly three hours, the canine was freed and taken to a veterinary clinic for recovery.
