This is the moment youths were caught on CCTV attacking a grocery store in Indonesia.

Footage shows the violent group arriving on motorcycles at the corner shop in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra, on Wednesday, December 4.

Police said the suspects attacked several youngsters, including Niko and his friends, at the Beng-Beng Sago Minimarket.

Niko explained that he and his companions were walking towards the convenience store in the early hours when several people suddenly chased them, carrying long, sharp weapons. He immediately reported the threats to authorities.

Police swiftly launched a search and arrested the suspects in two villages in Batang Kapas.

Muhammad Yogi Biantoro, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Pessel Police, said: 'The four were not detained because they are still minors. However, they are required to report to the Batang Kapas Police. The motive for the threat is being investigated.'

Police said the suspects are 15 years old, and the other two are 16.

Biantoro added that they are pursuing additional suspects based on statements from the arrested teens.

He urged the public to report potential criminal threats to the nearest police station, stressing that maintaining security is a shared responsibility between the police and the community.
